Lighting Design & Installation in Toronto & the GTA

Layered light that makes your home feel designed — not just lit.

A clean path to the finished light. Great lighting is never one fixture — it is layers: ambient light for the room, task light where you work, and accent light that shows off the architecture. We design all three together so the finished space feels intentional from every angle.

Our lighting projects span recessed LED pot lights, warm under-cabinet task lighting, statement chandeliers, exterior soffit lighting, and landscape accents that make a home look remarkable after dark. Every plan starts with how you actually use the space — cooking, reading, entertaining, arriving home at night.

We handle the full installation: layouts, wiring, dimming and smart controls, fixture mounting, and exterior weatherproofing. The photos on this page are our own recent projects across the GTA.

Why a licensed contractor matters. In Ontario, electrical work must be done by a licensed electrical contractor with an ESA permit where required. Trusted Electric Group is licensed under ECRA/ESA #7018920 — every installation is completed to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and we arrange the ESA notification for you.
Common questions

Lighting Design & Installation: FAQ

What is layered lighting?

Layered lighting combines ambient (general), task (work areas) and accent (features and architecture) light. Each layer is controlled separately so a room can shift from bright task lighting to soft evening ambience.

Can you automate my lighting?

Yes — smart switches, dimmers and scene controllers let you set schedules and moods from your phone or voice assistant.

Do you install fixtures I already bought?

Absolutely. Share the fixture specs and mounting requirements and we will confirm compatibility before installation day.

How long does a lighting project take?

A single room of pot lights is usually a day; whole-home lighting plans are scheduled in phases. You will know the timeline before we start.
