Pot Light Installation in Toronto & the GTA

Even, glare-free light exactly where you want it — indoors and out.

Lighting that works with the room. Pot lights are the fastest way to transform a dark kitchen, a flat basement, or a long hallway. But placement is everything: too few and you get cave lighting, too many and you waste money. We lay out each room so the light is even, shadow-free, and dimmable.

We install slim recessed LED pot lights in finished and unfinished ceilings — kitchens, living rooms, basements, bathrooms, hallways, soffits and exteriors. IC-rated housings for insulated ceilings, wet-rated trims for bathrooms and outdoor soffits, and warm 2700–3000K colour temperature that feels like home, not an office.

Every layout is planned before we cut: joist locations, existing wiring, insulation, and vapour barriers all factor in. The result is clean ceiling lines, no patchwork, and switches and dimmers exactly where you expect them.

What’s included

Our process

  1. Layout plan. We map joists, wiring and insulation, then mark every light location with you before cutting.
  2. Installation. Housings set, wiring run to code, trims fitted flush. Most rooms take a few hours.
  3. Controls. Dimmers or smart switches wired where you want them — including three-way setups.
  4. Aim and dim. We set colour temperature and dimming range, then walk the room with you at night if needed.

Choosing a colour temperature: 3000K feels warm and cosy, 4000K is a clean neutral, and 5000K–6000K is crisp daylight. We help you pick the right warmth for each room before a single light goes in.

Common questions

Pot Light Installation: FAQ

How many pot lights does a room need?

It depends on room size, ceiling height and purpose — a kitchen needs more task light than a hallway. We plan the layout per room so coverage is even, with typical spacing of 4–6 feet.

Can pot lights go in an insulated ceiling?

Yes, with IC-rated housings designed for direct contact with insulation. We confirm your ceiling type before installation.

Do you install dimmers?

Yes — dimmable LEDs with compatible dimmer or smart switches are our standard recommendation for living spaces.

Will you need to cut a lot of drywall?

Slim LED retrofits need only small round cutouts. We patch and clean as we go, and larger runs are planned to minimize patching.
